Saturday 29th March – Ripon including Cathedral Spring Food, Home & Garden Fair

Today we head to the Ripon Cathedral fair with over 80 traders selling homewares, food, and gardening goods. This year will be bigger than ever, with attractions such as workshops, animal petting farm on the forecourt, live music, and a pop-up café.

Friday 11th April – Eden Camp Modern History Museum

A WWII museum in North Yorkshire set in a former POW camp; It features immersive exhibits on wartime life, including dioramas, artifacts, and interactive displays, offering a fascinating look at Britain’s history during wartime.

Thursday 24th April – Kirkstall Abbey & Abbey House Museum

A visit to Kirkstall Abbey and Abbey House Museum combines history and heritage. Explore the medieval ruins of Kirkstall Abbey and nearby Abbey House Museum, which offers interactive exhibits on local history and Victorian life.

Bank Holiday Monday 5th May – Duncombe Park Country Fair

The Duncombe Park Country Fair is an annual event in North Yorkshire, offering equestrian displays, countryside sports, artisan markets, and family entertainment in a scenic setting.

Friday 30th May – Yorkshire Dales Northern Explorer (Leyburn & Hardraw) with 2 course meal

A trip filled with scenic views, natural beauty, and local charm. We have a short stop in Leyburn with its lovely array of shops, then we head to the Green Dragon Inn at Hardraw for a late lunch. Here the adventurous among us can head up to explore Hardraw Force, England’s Highest single drop waterfall.

Tuesday 3rd June – Gibside

Gibside is a historic estate in County Durham, England, featuring a grand mansion, gardens, and woodlands. Once home to the Bowes family, it is now a National Trust site offering scenic walks and a glimpse into the area’s history.

Saturday 28th June – North Yorkshire Moors Railway

Option 1: All Day Rover (Hop On/Hop Off all day!) – £65pp

Option 2: Train Grosmont to Goathland, free time in Goathland, return along Rail Trail footpath (4-mile walk), then free time in Grosmont – £29pp

The NYMR offers a nostalgic heritage railway experience through the stunning North York Moors. If you opt for the Rail Trail Walk, it is a leisurely 4 miles which allows visitors to explore the scenic landscape around the River Esk on foot. Together, they provide a wonderful way to enjoy the area’s natural beauty and railway heritage.

Wednesday 23rd July – Scarborough with a meal at King Richard the III

Join us today for a trip to Scarborough, with its perfect blend of scenic beauty and seaside charm. Spend the day exploring the stunning coastline, from the sandy beaches to the historic castle with panoramic views. Along with a day of sightseeing, we will have a hearty meal at the King Richard III, a cosy spot known for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious traditional dishes.
